Class Description: This is a weekend class designed for students interested in faceplate turning. Faceplate turning is when the mounted piece of wood is only attached to the lathe at the Headstock end of the lathe. Faceplate turning usually produces bowls but could include plates, platters, etc. This class is for the beginning woodturner or a student wanting to expand their skills, improve their turning skills and learn new techniques.

The Saturday class will turn a bowl that is attached to the lathe using the Glue Block method and create a Jam Chuck to finish the bottom of the bowl.
