Class Description: This is a great beginner project and something that you could repeat at home with limited tools. In this class, you will make a small bookcase from veneered plywood.  You will learn why plywood is excellent for furniture in our climate. You will learn how pocket-hole and glue joinery can be use in easily built furniture. 

You will see that this project is something that you could repeat at home with limited tools. You will receive a coupon at the completion of the class that will provide 10% discount on the purchase of plywood and Kreg jigs. This coupon will allow you to build a second bookcase at home. The coupon will be valid for one week.

Students are not required to have any experience with woodworking. The bookcase that you build in this class can have its finish applied when you take it home.  Use the paint, varnish, oil, etc. that you select.

  • Screw and glue joinery
