Class Description: Discover the art of chip carving with our expert carving instructor Rom McClellan. Chip carving is a versatile decorative carving technique that can be used in creating detailed and intricate designs. Knowing how to handle a knife and proper chip carving techniques are critical to learning to carve in this style safely and efficiently. Chip carving designs can be added to almost any style of woodworking as a decorative accent or practiced as a unique carving style on its own. This class will help students learn the basic chip carving skills so they can continue to work on carving using safe and reliable techniques.
