Class Description: In this class you will learn and practice a variety of basic forging techniques, then combine these skills to create several forged objects for the home or garden. You will work with hot metal and shape it using the tools of the blacksmith. These objects will make unique additions to your home or gifts to family and friends be remembered and used for many years.   

Skill Development:

  • Forging tapers
  • punching, slitting, and drifting
  • twisting
  • scrolling
  • stock removal with files and abrasive

Class Size: 3 – 6 students
