This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the mortise and tenon, one of the fundamental joints in furniture-making. We will work through multiple methods for creating each joint.

Class Description: In this Mortise and Tenon joinery workshop, you will several methods for cutting the mortise and tenon joint. We will cut tenons two different ways using the tablesaw and also using the bandsaw. We will cover several methods for creating mortises, including using the drill press, a hollow chisel mortiser, and a plunge router. You will also be introduced to loose tenon joinery using the Festool Domino. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to one of the fundamental joints in furniture-making.
- Two methods for cutting tenons on the tablesaw, one using a jig and the second using the miter gauge
- Bandsawn tenons
- Three methods for cutting mortises, using the drill press, a plunge router with a jig, and using the hollow chisel mortise
- Loose tenon joinery using the Festool Domino
