Class Description: Children taking this course will, with the assistance of a parent or grandparent, construct a small pencil holder. Participants in the class will learn about how and why we use joinery. The instructor will be teaching proper tool use, shop safety and will assist participants in building their boxes. Materials will be milled square and to proper dimension prior to the course, but participants will learn about these processes. The skills learned building this small project will transfer to larger projects you wish to build in the future.

- Coping Saw (or Jig Saw)
- Grooves and dados on the table saw and router
Class Size: 3 – 8 parent-child pairs
