Class Description: If you have turned one pen, you are probably waiting for the chance to turn another. This class is an opportunity to continue to develop your skills at the lathe. It is also an opportunity to make a pen to give as a gift. Continue to learn the basics of turning a pen on a wood lathe using the Easy Wood Tools brand of carbide tools. You already know that these tools are easy to learn and a pleasure to work with.
In this class you will learn to drill your own wood blank and to glue in the necessary metal tube. You will have the opportunity to use a new finish, Glueboost.
You will also have the opportunity to select the wood for your pen and the kit that you want to use. Before the class go to the CU Woodshop Supply store and choose the wood for you blank and a pen kit. A list of kits approved for this class will be posted by the kits. Your class registration will cover the first $15 of the cost of your wood blank and pen kit.
