Class Description: Get the experience needed to work efficiently and safely with professional woodworking power tools. Knowing the proper procedures is critical to prevent injury, minimize damage to workpieces, and to using equipment without damaging it. The instructor will explain and demonstrate proper tool operations and students will practice the procedures. Developing safe habits in the woodshop is the best way to prevent accidents and create the best quality work. Tools introduced during this course include the table saw, bandsaw, jointer, planer, drill press, both hand and table routers, mortising machine, and sanders.
